One of my all time favorite albums is Famous Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warnes. Great songs, beautiful voice and gorgeous arrangements. RIP Leonard Cohen.
This song was my second exposure to him, after "Everybody Knows". A haunting voice, if not a technically "good" singing one - and he knew how to write music that played to it.
My third was the cover of "Dance me to the End of Love" from Strange Days.
Some covers "got" him, other's didn't, and I have not had the privilege of listening to that version of Famous Blue Raincoat.
Had not actually heard his last album yet, but "Ten New Songs" is one of my favorites.
